E. Hartikainen is a family-owned company with over 60 years of experience, specializing in mining contracting and project partnerships. We support our customers’ success and aim to be a long-term and flexible partner throughout the entire life cycle of mine. We currently operate at six different open-pit mines in Finland, and in 2026 our operations will expand to the Sydvaranger mine in Norway. All employees hired for the Sydvaranger mining project will enter into a permanent employment contract with the Norwegian subsidiary of E. Hartikainen.

The work is carried out according to a shift schedule, with patterns such as 14 days on, 21 days off; and 14 days on, 14 days off. In certain roles, the working rhythm follows regular office hours. We provide accommodation near the mining site if needed. We also encourage and support applicants in relocating to the Finnmark region, which is a vibrant and unique living environment.

E. Hartikainen will provide all mining services at the Sydvaranger mine, and during 2026 we will recruit over 150 employees to work on the project.

We are looking for employees for Sydvaranger Mining Services to work in a variety of roles in production and production support functions. We require applicants to demonstrate a strong commitment to high safety standards. Please note that, to ensure safety, basic English language skills are required to work on site.

Mining Production

Operators for excavator, haul truck, wheel loader, dozer, road grader and other production equipment, drilling operators and blasters

Site Management

Shift Supervisor, Site Engineer, EHSQ Engineer, Drilling and Blasting Supervisor

Support Functions

Mine Surveyor, Machine Operator Trainer

Maintenance Organization

Workshop Manager, Workshop Supervisor, Maintenance Planner, Mechanic, Welder, and other maintenance roles

The scheduled start date for mining services is in the third quarter of 2026. We will begin interviewing applicants after the final investment decision in the second quarter of 2026.
